ROCK ON!
We all had day jobs doing carpentry, managing restaurants, serving coffee, and making jewelry. At night, we were all musicians, practicing nearly every night and performing once or twice a week.
Glen Alexander and Rachel Joel managed a record label, Site 51. It would host seven local Salt Lake City bands, including Teejay’s band Poink.
Glen is a computer geek and always ahead of the curve with trends and technology. He devised an idea to create a CD-ROM for the label to promote all the bands, complete with audio, visuals, and rudimentary websites, available right from the disc.
As Glen did all the programming and Rachel did all the graphics, the project was aptly named “Projectile.”
Upon its release, Projectile made headlines in the Salt Lake Tribune. It wouldn’t be long before Site 51's phones rang with bands and businesses nationwide wanting the services, consultation, and advice to produce their media.
